• How do I get on a team?

You must attend Club Tryouts ( July 1st - 10th ) each year and be selected by a Coach to play on a Mutiny FC team.  It is also recommended that you attend open practices in June.

• What paperwork needs to be completed?

The following documents are needed:  Open practice sign in sheet, Tryouts sign in sheet (confirmation that you have received a team "fact" sheet), player contract for each player must be signed and dated after July 1st.  We may also ask that you register online (this is pending WYSA decision on new online registration system).

 

• Where are pratices and tryouts?

Open practices and tryouts will be held at Founders Park in Wylie starting June 1st.  Please check schedule posted on the WYSA Website or check the Mutiny Website at www,wyliemutinyfc.com for more information. Parents must be present during Club Tryouts.  Mutiny Coaches and Managers will be available to answer questions. 

 

NOTE:  You don't need to attend all June Open Practices,  please come to as many as you can. Open Practices and TRYOUTS are free; but you must sign in at every session you attend. 

 

• If I want to quit and go back to recreational soccer, what can I do?

Competitive soccer requires players to sign a ONE YEAR contract, which runs from July 1st through June 30th of each calendar year.  To leave a team, or move to another team, or go back to recreational soccer, you must get a signed release form from your current coach and/or association.  There is is a commiment level required for competitive soccer. WYSA will review all circumstances and individual situations before signoff. 

 

• What do I get for my registration money?

Your registration will cover all of the following items:  NTSSA fees, PYSA League fees, referee fees for two seasons, two team uniforms, a Mutiny FC ball for each player, bag/backpack, a minimum of two tournaments per team, coaching education costs, and WYSA administration costs.  It will also cover technical skills training by Certified Trainers that are part of the clubs player development program.  A competitive team may choose to do more tournaments or play indoor during the offseason, which will be additional cost and covered by fundraising or sponsorships.
